Hanakairo Flower Park, located in Tottori Prefecture, commands beautiful views of Mount Daisen and a wide range of flowers can be enjoyed all year round.
In winter, the park performs special lighting that starts on November 9 and runs through January 14 (the images in the story are from the lighting season of 2017).
Right at the entrance is the first area with the Night Jurassic theme:
Ahead is the park’s famous glass dome, actually a greenhouse where there are various types of flowers and trees.
Around the glass dome is a one-kilometer circular trail for visitors to walk around enjoying the European-style garden and flower beds.
The interior lighting shines on the outside of the dome, changing color, giving a special look to those walking through the park’s gardens.
The lights inside the dome change color and outside the view is magnificent! It is good to go warm and comfortable shoes because the cold in the place is intense and visitors need to walk a lot to enjoy all the beautiful lightings in the park.
The park is adorned with about 1.5 million lamps, making it one of the biggest lighting events in the Chugoku region.
