Despite the light rain in the morning, at 11am on Sunday (3) the first beach opening was held in Okinawa, which usually starts in April.
The opening was from Manza beach, located in the village Onna, in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, where it has the famous hotel Ana Intercontinental. About 70 childrens, vibrating with joy, attended the ceremony.
It is considered one of the 100 elected by the Ministry of the Environment, with clear waters and comfortable beach in the whole country. In Okinawa there are 3 and Manza’s is one of them. White, thin sands with turquoise water attracts the public.
For children, the slide and the trampoline, from Manza Ocean Park are free.
On this opening day, the thermometers registered 26ºC in Naha. According to the local weather observatory the forecast for April and May is normal temperature, as of previous years.
Soon other beaches will be open for the season. Watch the video, from the beach of Minna island, about 10 minutes by boat, leaving from Motobu.
