Four bodies were found Sunday in a park in Onojo, Fukuoka Prefecture, with the police saying the people, likely a family reported missing, died in an apparent murder-suicide.

After receiving a missing persons report earlier in the day, police conducted a search and found the bodies of a 23-year-old man and two children — one his 4-year-old daughter and the other his 1-year-old son — in a parked car in the Fukuoka Prefecture city.

His 28-year-old wife was also found dead in nearby woods. The body of the man was found in the driver’s seat while the children were in the back seat of the vehicle, the police said.

The police did not disclose the names of the deceased.
